Government Islamia Graduate College for Women, Cooper Road, Lahore, has been fostering the nation’s daughters through quality education since 1939. Having nurtured the academic needs of the students in various disciplines of the arts and sciences, the institution has been one of the premier centers of learning since before the partition. Our students are ready to meet the emerging challenges under a faculty that strives to inspire the values of professionalism, integrity, and scholarship. The spirit of competition and sportsmanship is a defining feature of our upbringing, and our students have been making the institution proud in academic and co-curricular activities and sports. We are blessed with a rich history, a highlight of which has been that our prestigious institution was graced by the Father of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Several prominent personalities had been a part of this institution as students and faculty members. With a meritorious past behind us, we look towards the future with the hope that we will continue to lead the students towards excellence.

  • Aim of Alumni Association:

Government Islamia Graduate College for Women, Cooper Road, Lahore, has always taken pride in its alumni. Our brilliant alumni are the shining face of our institution. This alumni association looks forward to promoting an interrelation among the past graduates and the faculty, thus creating an integrated network of academia, professionals, and other stakeholders. The alumni directory will facilitate connectedness among the career counselors, academicians, and researchers for lifelong learning and mentorship.

Alumni groups foster the needs of students and faculty for continuous support, guidance, and opportunities in academics, research, and job prospects.

  • Membership/Registration:

The intermediate students (at the time of receiving certificates), graduates (at the convocation), and teaching faculty (all current, transferred, and retired faculty members) are requested to register once for a lifetime after payment of the registration fee (PKR 500).
