Principal's Message

With the historical distinction of being the only higher education institution for women which the Father of the Nation visited in 1946, Govt. Islamia Graduate College (W), Cooper Road, Lahore is committed to the multiple objectives of imparting knowledge, technical skill and refinement of personality to thousands of young women of the country since 1939.

Nowadays, the ever-expanding academic scenario of the world calls for a rapid updating of all domains of knowledge.

To this end, the college provides not only training for undergraduates in 13 major disciplines of basic and social sciences and humanities at BS level, but also keeps a close watch over the quality enhancement of its teaching faculty which include PhDs and M.Phils, along with a growing number of enrolled scholars.
